Principal Investigator
This project supports Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's contribution to Stanford University's multi-institutional, collaborative project to improve the science of integrated assessment modeling. The primary role of LLNL in the proposed research will be to:
- Draw on “lessons learned” from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project to provide guidance on good practices in the successful coordination of the proposed model intercomparison exercise,
- Provide advice on designing model experiments,
- Transfer to this new project, as appropriate, software tools developed for the handling of climate model output, and
- Provide advice on diagnostic analysis approaches for treating and displaying output from multi-model ensembles.
