Welcome to the first edition of RGMAgram. This quarterly newsletter will deliver important news and information while featuring the research activities and the people of RGMA.

Over the past six months of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that everything has become a challenge—shopping, travel, and kids at home. Our jobs have also become more challenging. Many of us are in improvised workspaces at home away from colleagues and resources. We all miss the face-to-face interactions that enrich our work.

And despite all this, each week, I see your new research highlights and publications on the EESM website. It underscores the importance of your work and perseverance. On behalf of the Department of Energy, thank you.

As many of you know, the RGMA PI Meeting is October 13 to 16. A benefit of the virtual meeting format is that it opens sessions to more participants. It is also a great way to communicate with the RGMA team and colleagues through active participation. We have received nearly 180 abstracts! We are looking forward to the presentations and discussions at the meeting.

By sharing ideas and information, we can all do great things in the months and years ahead.
