Graduate Student Funding Opportunity
The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program is accepting new applicants for supplemental funds to conduct part of their thesis research at a DOE laboratory in areas that address scientific challenges central to the Office of Science mission. These research opportunities are expected to advance graduate students' overall doctoral thesis while providing access to the expertise, resources, and capabilities available at the DOE laboratories. The award period for these research projects range from 3 to 12 consecutive months.
DOE SCGSR research areas include:
- Environmental System Science: Coupling subsurface measurements with terrestrial model frameworks
- Atmospheric System Research: Coupling atmospheric observational data with numerical models
- Earth System Modeling: Computational climate modeling
- Regional and Global Climate Modeling: Analysis of high-latitude climate feedbacks.
Applications are due December 15, 2015. For more information, visit the Office of Science Graduate Student Research website.
